Club Vivanova Partners for a Retrospective of Contemporary Greek-American Artist Philip Tsiaras ‘Superdot’ Series to be Exhibited in London for First Time

Varvara Roza Galleries and The Blender Gallery announce a solo exhibition of Dot Pop Portraits by Philip Tsiaras at Gallery 8 in Mayfair. The exhibition will showcase portraits of British political and Royal figures such as Winston Churchill, The Queen and Prince Philip, alongside legends from popular culture including opera diva Maria Callas, exotic painters Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dali, musical icons David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, and Prince.

> Join Club Vivanova’s Exclusive Event in London - Wednesday 17th November 2021

Tsiaras comes full circle, as a classic black and white photographer in his early career, to realize a new painterly language in realistic hand-dotted personas. His is the world of obsessive Pointillism with a love of portraiture – The DOT-- paired with popular iconography is infused with a myriad of painted multicolored coordinates, bordering on what Tsiaras calls “the scientific of sensualism”, or “in archaic terms, a modern Greco-Roman mosaic.”

The SUPERDOT exhibition is also a survey of Tsiaras’s dot-related works covering three decades of the use of the Dot in a wide variety of his subject matter. The retrospective’s main focus will be on his newest Dot portraits, alongside decades of other established bodies of dotted artworks. In particular his spiritually motivated “Circle of Life Series”, his heroic, idiosyncratic Horses, and his visceral figurative works, which the Metropolitan Museum bought as early as I983.

A surprise viewing of Tsiaras’ Crystal Guns, glass works which he produced in Murano over the past 10 years, will be peppered throughout the exhibition .

A full-length, new book entitled “Philip Tsiaras, THE SUPERDOT” published by Key Books will accompany the exhibition and features 200 color pages of the artist’s prolific, and extraordinary career.

The exhibition runs from 16th November to 7th December.

Luxury Design Company House of Pilati to Offer One-off Luxury Collectables for the World’s Wealthiest

The House of Pilati, a European and Middle Eastern design company that creates one-off custom luxury goods, has officially launched. Headed up by Patrick Pilati (known as Shawal in the Art World) - a luxury curator with more than 15 years of expertise catering to UHNWIs - House of Pilati will create bespoke items akin to works of art.

The first collection by House of Pilati will include custom luxury cars with modified interiors and exteriors. Future planned collections include fine art and photography, as well as bespoke jewellery.

Each exclusive collection is personally overseen by Pilati. His exceptional creative vision and dedication to producing works of art that will be coveted by the world’s wealthiest ensure the most exacting standards, elegance, and refinement.

Designed for the most discerning individuals, rare materials, exquisite craftsmanship, and European Middle Eastern elegance underpin each of House of Pilati’s coveted collections.

The first collection by the House of Pilati will include 4 bespoke luxury cars, inspired by Middle Eastern heritage.

Meticulously designed, each car is hand-built to House of Pilati’s exact specifications by Ares Design Modena, a coach building team in Italy with the approval of the car's marque.

Cars in the first collection can include a Landrover Defender Cabrio customised in partnership with Hermes, a newly built Nasr S1 Ego Project with a hybrid engine, a 2020 RR Phantom, a 2020 Bentley Mulsanne Targa, and a Gaia with 1970 defender body and 2020 defender technology and engine.

A true work of art, each car will boast some of the world’s finest rare materials, handpicked by House of Pilati to perfectly complement each car, including ostrich leather, mother of pearl colour paint, rosewood and emeralds.

“We are artists, and the buyer buys a work of art, not a car,” Pilati explains. “Each car is a one-off collectable item and is completely unique. At House of Pilati, we understand luxury and what is required to turn high-end goods into one-off precious objects that are sought-after and coveted.”

Pilati adds: “True luxury within the Ultra High Net Worth Segment is something that money can't buy. Each car is completely unique, so only one person will be able to own it. Additionally, each item will be an investment.”

The initial renderings for each car will be auctioned off at a private auction of select buyers. Once purchased, the build will start, with each car expected to take about a year to complete.

True to the company’s ethos of “empowering humanity through education” House of Pilati will donate 60 per cent of each sale to its philanthropic scholarship programme to train the next generation of designers. The programme will provide financial support to students from low-income families who otherwise would not be able to attend design academies.

“There is no personal gain for me,” says Pilati, whose company is born out of passion. “For me, it is about creating works of art and helping others to succeed and become leaders in what they are best at doing.”

MONOCHROME MAGIC IN BLUE, MINT AND LILAC

The palette for Glimmer was inspired in equal parts by pastel wildflowers, summer meadows and the cool rushing waters of a bustling brook. Hues of mint and lilac are imbued with flashes of gold and silver to deliver a shimmering lustrous look.

The collection makes good use of the ethereal whimsy of silk, chiffon and organza with a Jacquard pattern applied over its base. The result is a capsule collection which reveals hidden depths to the designs as the wearer moves.

COLLABORATIVE PHOTOSHOOT AT THE LEGENDARY
LE MERIDIEN BEACH PLAZA IN MONACO

The collection was shot at the terraces of Monte Carlo’s legendary resort hotel Le Meridien Beach Plaza by photographer Dariia Kovalevskaya and Videographer Theo Pitout. The collaboration comes on the heels of Safiro’s day at the races. A headline stealing outing to Royal Ascot where the label won national coverage in The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, Forbes, Metro and more.

HANDCRAFTED IN LONDON

As you would expect from an eco-focused brand, Safiro’s Glimmer collection is hand-crafted locally from ethically sourced materials by skilled artisans. In addition, the company offsets any carbon emissions their production creates.

Platinum Partner SAFIRO Steals Headlines with a Masterclass in Monochrome Magic at Royal Ascot

SAFIRO's Founder Yulia Shirokova and her guest Michelle Gay wowed the cameras on the second day of Royal Ascot. Yulia's outfit comprising her signature Safiro two-piece Azore Citrine skirt and a golden Jade Pearl top was hailed by one journalist as a Masterclass in Monochrome Magic.

"I have always loved the atmosphere of Royal Ascot, and it was such an honour to share the same pages as The Duchess of Wessex and Lauren Silverman. We were thrilled at the reaction to our outfits, and it was great seeing so much glamour on such a glorious day," said Yulia.

Not to be outdone, Yulia's guest, Michelle Gay, also won praise and lens time from reporters for her SAFIRO Crystal Flower dress.

In addition to making the dailies, including spreads in the Daily Express, the Daily Mail, Metro and Forbes, Yulia and Michelle were spotted by Ascot TV and featured in the final round-up of the day. Michelle gave an interview about her outfit and the day itself.

Michelle gave an interview about her outfit and the day itself.

Yulia and Michelle complimented their SAFIRO outfits with hats by Milliner-to-the-stars Victoria Grant and jewellery from Albemarle and Aloria collections from the legendary House of Garrard, which was established in 1722. Perhaps the unique marriage of contemporary styling with traditional craftsmanship helped create their striking and elegant summer looks which turned heads and lenses alike.

French Riviera Artist Launches Ethereal Collection - Specially Handcrafted To Enhance Superyacht Interiors - Carol Bruton’s Artwork Mimics The Reflections And Ripples Of Water

Launched in time for the Mediterranean yachting season, Raindrops is a new series of superyacht artworks crafted by Artist and Sculptor Carol Bruton. Based in the South of France, her work highlights her fascination with our most precious of elements, water.

Specially handcrafted to enhance superyacht interiors, the surface effects of Bruton’s artworks allow the flow of both natural and artificial light, complimenting the interior ambience. Her technique uses cold glass and raw pigments which results in an interplay of colour and an ethereal interpretation that exudes energy and fluidity, mirroring the reflections and ripples that water creates.

Echoing the prestige of Bruton’s work, you’ll find the artist in the spotlight as accolades grow. She was chosen as Saatchi’s revered ‘Artist of the Day’, profiled in the UK editions of Vogue and Tatler, and has exhibited at Art Basel Miami, Beijing Biennale and Accademia Fine Art in Monaco. Her work is found in private collections worldwide, including pieces housed in the Princely Collection of H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco, former racing driver David Coulthard, Chairman Susan Feaster from St Moritz U.S. Celebrity Golf Cup and Banque Havilland in Monaco.

L’art de vivre onboard

A keen ocean swimmer, Bruton started painting in a tiny fishing village in Costa del Sol in Spain, drawing on inspiration from her surroundings.  She says her dream clients are “those yacht owners who get goosebumps when they see my work.”  Elements of the earth, sky and ocean interplay into her artwork, an artistic evolution that effortlessly induces organic patterns reminiscent of blue holes in the Caribbean or the reflective qualities of Mediterranean coastlines.

Her appeal in the superyacht sector is profound, owing to the aesthetic beauty of her artwork that makes visual statements that draw admiration.  She crafted The Superyacht Show’s Richard Earp Award named Ocean's 9, a fluid sculpture made from steel and finished with a transparent coloured coating with a gleaming surface that resembles the morning light shining on the ocean.

Perfectly in line with refinement, superyacht interiors highlight artisanship, beauty and escapism; furniture inlaid with exotic wood, hand-blown glassware, porcelain tableware, soft furnishings and opulent antiques.  Regardless of the size of the superyacht, it is no longer enough to have artwork that’s solely aesthetically pleasing.  Aside from period styles and decorative trends, superyachts can house expansive collections that raise more eyebrows than famous art museums. A bespoke art collection is more than an asset; it showcases the owner’s personality, strengthens the corporate image and piques the attention of guests.

Specialist advice is vital and superyacht owners’ partner with interior designers to curate pieces for their floating galleries – space can be at a premium and there may be limitations in terms of ceiling height or lighting.   Onboard, there’s protection from the main factors that usually deteriorate precious art, such as fluctuations in humidity and temperature variations. Other practical considerations arise such as placement of the artwork, customs regulations, insurance and security.

Bruton’s work defines a journey into the cosmos – to get all the pain and suffering out from the human level into a cosmic peace.  She says, “I want to leave the human pain behind and portray that with silence and listening. Nicole Stott went to the moon twice and once told me that my work reminds her of what she saw from the space shuttle; the light, the blue, and how fragile her vision of the earth was, how fragile we look. She saw my work and it reminded her of Earth from space. That was a huge compliment.”

There’s a special relationship between Bruton and her creativity; she has a young child with a medical condition and has dedicated her artistic career to donating her profits to research towards this illness.  Each artwork is a personal journey that leads to hope for a cure, therefore when someone acquires a piece of her art it’s a subtle gesture that makes the process so memorable.

The benefit of commissioning bespoke artwork for a yacht is that they can be made, not only to custom sizes, but colours can be chosen to match and enhance the existing decor.

If you are looking for an artwork that goes far beyond the usual, Carol Bruton’s sculptures that are evocative of water are a fine addition to a collection for yachting aficionados who expect uncompromised quality.

Dressing for the European Spring Season in the Chilly Breezes of the Winter Past and the Warming Sun of an Arriving Summer

The weather in spring can be deceptive in Europe, and you may experience the summer warmth, the chilly air of winter and spring drizzle, all in one day. While the weather is all pleasant and nature is in bloom again, with new leaves signalling the fresh Spring, you might be once again wondering what to wear!

Dressing for the summer is easy, and it is easy even for the chilling winters, but deciding on your attire for a season that has the touch of both, is a difficult task indeed. You need a wardrobe that not only reflects your personality, one which is easy enough for the warm hours.   If you are also struggling with the same, Lady Row Couture Dress Coat is the answer to your prayers.

Many like to sport jeans with tees or a blouse, coupled with a good scarf or a jacket. It is perfect for a casual day out with your girl gang. But for women who wish to look a little more sophisticated, a Lady Row Couture Dress Coat is just the right choice. It is also ideal for a more formal evening, and you can flaunt it even when you are going out on a date.

A Lady Row Couture Dress Coat looks good in almost any setup. You may be heading out for a family gathering, or it might be your friend's wedding, a dress coat is a safe and elegant choice. But this timeless garment is our favourite not only because it looks good and you can wear it everywhere, but also because of its utility. No matter what the weather is, you will always find a dress coat from the house of Lady Row, to save the day. Whether the sun rays are filling the day with their warmth, or the cold wind is the reminder of the lingering winter, or even if the rain decides to take you by surprise, the Couture Dress Coat will help you survive the ever-changing weather, and at the same time, help you ace your style game.

You can wear a silk dress coat for warmer days. The light shades speak of calm and serenity, and your Lady Row Couture Dress Coat in silk is the perfect ensemble for a warm day. These are adorned by motifs from nature, like flowers and birds, including the chickadees. Painted using the Japanese art of the Yuzen technique, the interplay of bright colours make you stand out in the crowd. You can always pair it with a pair of matching pumps and scarves or go all bold with bright coloured pumps as well.

There will be days in Spring when you will want to crawl back into the blanket, and these days are closer to winters than they are to the summers. And the same must reflect in our attire for the day as well. In such days, a Lady Row Couture Dress Coat will help you go through the day. These are warmer than the summer coats, so you will not freeze in them, yet not so warm to make you uncomfortable. This comfy wear gives you a warm embrace to brave the chilly winds. You can sport these exclusive pieces with black tights or tights of any other colour, and use statement jewellery to complete your look. Whether you are in the classic black brogues or matching wedges, you are ready to slay!

(Pro Tip: These warm spring coats are also perfect for those days when the drizzle decides to play the spoilsport. But whatever be your plans, you can go about them effortlessly, and you need not worry about the rain. Your fashion statement remains unharmed, thanks to your choice of the Lady Row Couture Dress Coat!)

For the cooler Spring days, you may also choose to go for a dress coat in leather, embellished with carefully hand-drawn motifs from nature, and decked up with some beads and pearls to set it a class apart. Team this with a pair of long earrings and ankle-high boots, and you are ready to turn heads wherever you go. This will double up as party wear as well, so you can dance your heart out in this!

The ever-elusive weather pattern in London Spring should not stop you from putting your best foot forward. When dressed in the right Lady Row Couture Dress Coat, made exclusively for you, there is no looking back. You may want to opt for the light silk dress coats for those warm spring days, or you may want to be your classy best for the cooler days when it is likely to rain, or you may even be the heart of the group who is known for her impeccable sense of fashion- whatever your needs are, whatever you are, there is always a Lady Row Couture Dress Coat that is your second skin. It will not only make you look good; it is also to make you feel good. When in doubt, flaunt your dress coat, and you shall never go wrong.

A historic sanctuary in the English countryside of Yorkshire dating back to 1597 that has been under the custodianship of the Tempest family 33 generations for the last 900 years.

The serene nature of this 3000 acre property is idyllic for the restorative healing and the healing force for such transformational experience through its interconnectedness to nature.

As one of their driving core values, they have committed to rewilding the land with the planting of 350,000 trees this year and next year, with the ultimate goal of planting 1 million trees.

With the intention of healing the land as a part of the collective healing process, they are working with earth energy expert Rev. Dr.Calen Rayne to identify the sacred energy centers of this land.

While steeped in English history, Broughton Hall Estate seeks a higher purpose through spiritual connection, healing and nature in order to serve the world in what they call an era of a “new humanity”.

Their state of the art Avalon wellbeing facility serves as the peaceful hub of personal transformation, self-exploration and creativity. Radiating the energy of intention from its very foundation, blessed energy crystals were symbolically placed in the building’s foundation when it was being built at the estate.

Avalon’s inspired idyllic setting for a sacred and life-changing inner voyage of mind, body and spirit is intended to serve a new way of conscious minded living through their customised private, corporate and individual retreats, classes and therapies and connection to the peaceful surrounding nature.

Callender Howorth Creative Director Mark Howorth explains, “Our aim with this restyling project for their holiday homes is to further elevate the naturally positive and emotional engagement of their spaces. We are really looking forward to considering lighting, organic fabrics and paint and repurposed pieces to transform these homes.  It’s all about making the interior reflect the ethos and energy of Broughton Hall….a fantastic design challenge.”

By infusing wellbeing in every aspect of the design, means we are attending to the inherent needs of raising our human potential required by this new conscious phase of our evolution.

Platinum Partner SAFIRO and British Artisans Showcased at Concours d'Elegance Vintage & Modern Car Rally in Monaco

Three quintessentially British brands were featured during a heritage and modern car rally and Concours d'Elegance in Monaco on 25th October, hosted by Nicole de Chambrun and Mr Jean Henri Tamenne. The event saw luxury sustainable London-based fashion label SAFIRO feature amongst the rally which included 11 prestige classic cars, including the British handcrafted David Brown Speedback GT and accompanied by exquisite music on a Stradivarius violin by Andrew Bernardi from England.

The rally started from the Place du Casino in Monaco in the morning, passing through the picturesque French Alps to the historic factory of Florian Chocolate at Pont sur Loup, where breakfast was served against the breathtaking mountain view, and finishing at the Marquise de Chambrun's estate which featured a car and participant competition of elegance, followed by lunch to celebrate the occasion.

The exquisite outfits from SAFIRO - a new sustainable luxury womenswear brand with a timelessly elegant aesthetic, founded by Yulia Shirokova in London in 2020, embellished the event. Whilst the launch of SAFIRO planned for spring was negatively impacted by COVID, Yulia is using her communication and marketing expertise to market the brand internationally through small exclusive events. Further similar events are being planned in the UK in spring next year.

The London couture Milliner Edwina Ibbotson created bespoke headpieces to match SAFIRO outfits.

The Marquise de Chambrun trophy winner was Salmson Grand Sport model from July 1924 skiff Henri Labourdette body followed by the Zepter trophy awarded to a Rolls-Royce Silver cloud from 1956, a car which previously belonged to Marcel Boussac. A special trophy for a modern classic car was presented by the Florian Chocolate and awarded to the Speedback GT - the fabulous realisation by British coachbuilder, David Brown Automotive, of a design inspired from icons of the Sixties and taking over 8,000 hours to meticulously hand-build by artisans and skilled technicians in Silverstone, Great Britain.

The Marquise Nicole de Chambrun strongly believes in preserving the automotive and cultural heritage and offered an opportunity for all guests to reconnect with the tradition of prestige and elegance on the French Riviera and it was fantastic to see innovative, luxury brands come together to offer an experience of heritage, beauty and craftsmanship.

The event was made COVID-secure for all participants by Zepter who deployed their device THERAPY AIR ION. Mr. Frederic Fuchs, the owner of the Florian Chocolate house, offered a delicate chocolate tasting for all guests. Also, noteworthy, is the support of the Lamborghini family who offered a collector's box set to the first prize, won by Steve Bernaud Heyd happy owner of the Salmson 1924.

The anti-plastic activist from Japan - Green Samourai - also attended as a special guest.

Dublin Based Kokoro Zenwear Raises the Standard for Sustainable Eco-Fashion with Bamboo Fashion Collection

The Dublin-based fashion brand offers a luxurious alternative to cotton and silk that doesn’t cost the earth. Kokoro Zenwear’s bamboo silk and bamboo sport collection is 100% ECO Certified and OEKO- TEX Certified sustainable organic.

Eco-conscious fashionistas now have a sustainable alternative to cotton and silk garments with the luxurious bamboo fashion collection from Dublin-based company, Kokoro Zenwear.

Cotton and silk are two popular natural fibres used in garment manufacturing. However, the production processes used to produce the fabrics are neither eco-friendly nor sustainable. Silk is a luxurious fabric, but it takes up to 2500 silkworms to produce one pound of raw silk. And since silkworms only eat mulberry leaves, it is a significant drain on natural resources. As it relates to cotton, the plants require 29.000 litres of water to grow - the same amount that one person would drink in 27 years.

Conversely, not only is bamboo a renewable resource, it requires very little water and can grow up to 4.5 ft per day. What’s more is that fabrics made from bamboo are softer and more comfortable than 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton.
